Sometimes, when life gets hectic, you need to take a step back and take a breath. Breathe in the opportunities, breathe out the mistakes. Breathe in the good vibes, breathe out the negativity. Breathe in the present, breathe out the past. Be thankful for everything you've been given, and be thankful for the things you weren't given. Sometimes, the greatest gift of all is an unanswered prayer. I can't even begin to count the amount of times I thought I wanted something so bad that I told myself I'd do, give, or risk anything for it. However, as hindsight is 20/20, I soon realized that the missed opportunities that I had led me to something even better than I ever imagined. I once missed out on a travel opportunity, but by staying home, I was able to meet one of the greatest people in my life. Had I gone on the trip, I wouldn't have met them and my life would be so different. Every missed connection or closed door is merely the prequel to an upcoming sunrise. Often times, your goodbye to one person just sets you up for the perfect "hello" to a new person.
It may take months to see the optimistic outlook in a situation, but sometimes it takes only a single moment of clarity. The universe has a silly way of making you jump through crazy obstacles. One day, life is going great, the next it's a whirlwind of negative emotions. Whether you think you made the right decision, you have to understand the past is over. You can't change it. There's no way. However, you can set up your future by making yourself the best you that you can possibly be. Use the lessons that you learned to better yourself in the future, and I assure you everything will fall into place. Breathe. Relax. Smile. It's all going to be okay.
I snapped the picture below at 6:30A.M. a couple days ago. I was groggy, half asleep, and counting down the minutes until I would be back in my own bed. But I realized the sunrise meant to much more to me that day. There are so many wonderful things waiting for me on the horizon, and I just have to get there. I don't need to look in the rear view mirror, because everything I need to focus on is in front of me.
Remember, the sun will always set tonight and will always rise tomorrow. You don't have to worry....the universe has that, and more, handled.
In all things sunny,
Natasha
